The team investigates a man who has the ability to affect electrical energy, although he is unable to control it. They also discover that a scientist who was performing illegal experiments on humans was responsible for making him the way he is. They use carrier pigeons to track the man’s electromagnetic signature and through that they nab the scientist.

Meanwhile, Olivia begins to have visions of John, and she learns that this is due to the memories transferred to her during her ordeal in the first episode. Through the memories they are able to locate one of John’s secret hideouts, where they find a large number of investigation files regarding to the Pattern.
