A man-made chimera with a vicious appetite has just been released accidentally after animal rights activists ransack the lab where it was being kept.
The creature injects its larvae inside the mutilated bodies of its victims, and although Charlie survives an encounter with the monster, he is infected with the larvae, and Fringe division must race against time in order to capture it and take a sample of its blood before the larvae eat their way out of his body. Walter risks his life to capture the beast, and Charlie is saved.
