Fringe 4.17 “Everything In Its Right Place” Review

Submitted by on April 10, 2012 No Comment

Season 4 of the series began with a bang and a good concept. A “Parallel Universe” is something, which we have seen only in animation movies, and the director and the script writer of the series have done a commendable job in incorporating such a concept into a TV series. Just think how your own twin brethren would have behaved in the parallel universe. The story also focuses on many other scientific things like “the butterfly effect” and gadgets that connect both the parallel worlds. The story is something that you can expect from this team, just because they have all the potential and character backup for the development of such a story. From federal agents to freaky evil scientists, the show has them all, and that is why they can afford to put in a parallel universe.

Fringe Season 4 Episode 17

The episodes that they have been running, nowadays, seem to be somewhat of a damp squib. They had put in a lot of effort into the development of the story, but it seems that they have skipped in many essential parts, and gone back on some details. The shape shifter for once could have used some other kind of device to change his personality. Plunging gizmos onto the neck of the person, he intends to change into seems to be a weak idea. It is like how Dracula used to attack the ladies. There can be so many ways, man. Well, that is not the only case; total confusion reigns over the episode, as everything evolves so quickly, in a blink of an eye. It seems difficult for one to keep track of things. Well, many things have happened in the alt-world. The Lincolns seem to have patched up, but solely because of the brawl that Lincoln had with Broyles.

Though, everything seems fine in this episode with the characters going along well, and Lincoln finding a place for him in his own house, though, he was a complete failure in his own world. But, it looks like; dark days are ahead, and Lincoln has many things to do, apart from finding his place in the family. The episode, though, ends peacefully, but in the trailer section for the next episode, we saw that alt-Lincoln is battling for his life because of a gunshot injury; an attempted murder it seems. Now, the real Lincoln has to take up his place. God! Can this get better? The story is evolving in a very quick pace; but it looks great, the way it is coming up. Let us wait for another stellar performance from the cast. The upcoming episode is going to be one of the most brilliant episodes of the season, if they stick to the trailer that they had shown us at the end of the episode.
