The Fringe team is pushed to the brink as they try to save every living person from the schemes of Jones’ superior.

With the kind of teaser press conference that the producers Joel Wyman and Jeff Pinker had last week, it seems that the series is going to be all the more exciting. In the press conference, they played safe and also evoked some interest, as they hinted on the comeback of Leonard Nimoy, back into the Fringe fold. It seems that something big has been scripted for him, otherwise, how you can expect a person to shrug off his retirement, and be back on the show.

It was quite evident that David Robert Jones was being remote controlled by William Bell. But, the scene where Walter tries to convince others about the fact is hilarious. It seems that Noble has added some of his own antics into the scene, without which, it would have looked a plain fare.

We see Jones planting the nanites devices, and Walter tracking Bell down with the help of it. It seemed very odd that the Jones we saw in the previous episodes was missing, we see a completely different Jones, who doesn’t have his own view, and easily submits to whatever Bell instructs him to do. That is why; we see him going ahead to take out the Bishop in the later part of the episode. Looks like; the stories of revenge and pain that Bell injected into him have transformed his mind.

Astrid is back, and she admits in the episode that she enjoyed being Walter’s mother hen. The gun battle at Bell’s lair follows the scene, and we see her packing some punches, but not every good thing lasts for long, as we see her lying injured at the hands of Walter, as Bell appears victorious in the battle.

We see how Olivia can control devices, like a Wii device. She can control nanites, computers as well as Peter and help him fight off Jones. Peter is thrown off from the roof by Jones, and Olivia is reduced to just a mute spectator.

With FOX announcing 13 more episodes in the series, it seems that we will get all the answers for the questions in this episode. We do hope that Bell will show some humanity by letting Astrid receive some medication. There are so many questions still lingering in the air that it is very difficult to wait for another week. Hope everything turns out good in the finale.

She confirmed that by saying that she has no idea how many events will take place, if any, in the alternate universe. And of course, she added that she would pretty much miss her performance playing the other version of Astrid who has Asperger’s syndrome. Although she loves the way the show is going and agrees that it is a very good twist, but she always loved playing the role of the other Astrid. But even though, she didn’t completely deny that there will be returns of characters form the other worlds such as alternate Walter, played by John Noble and alternate Fauxlivia played by Anna Torv.

The hints started by saying that the upcoming events of the show will not happen in the future world that was seen in the episode that was named Letters of Transit, as a lot of people predicted that after the presentation of such world that the events will happen in the future. They stated that the future world is a vital part in the story, but it is not everything.

They also denied that Leonard Nimoy who plays the role of William Bell will not return to the show, especially after we got to see a glimpse of him in the future universe. Pinker added in a humorous way that they put a sign on Leonard Nimoy’s house asking him to come back to the show, and they are crossing their fingers that when the time for the 5th season comes, he would have accepted the offer.

Walter is forced to relive his past while investigating a series of spontaneous human combustions, while David Robert Jones begins his end game.

It is obvious that alternate realities created by digital manipulation of images can be interesting. Arrogant and fearless characters brave the hardships of a dying world making them even tougher. Weird fun at the least expected times keep people together and an entire division that is new. A different landscape, straight Twin Towers and the presence of Olivia Dunham and Walternate made the episode funny.

Towards the maturity of the seasons, the conflict between the worlds reduced because of the sacrifice Peter made and this unveiled the talents of the actors who were able to play different roles on one scene. Of course, this was seen even on this episode of Worlds Apart where the team work of the actors was apparent as they worked towards the mission of overthrowing the bad guy. It was thrilling to have Walter and Walternate come face to face on the drama. The episode at least granted all the actors an opportunity to work with their swap.

Just as everyone was thinking they were working to end Jones, Fauxlivia came on scene commending Olivia for working hard to maintain the link between the worlds and how important the recovery of their world was to her. This scene was kind of unique in that the memory of Fauxlivia that Olivia had was the one who really hurt her bad and this damaged her reaction, this wasn’t a very nice scene to watch but at least it ended with awe.

It would be reasonable to have Lincoln stay with Olivia in his new home after Peter left. Then another hurting moment was when Astrid parted ways with her alternate. It tool John Noble 4 years to become the two Walters who later united as fathers, scientists and leaders and also discussed their desire to assist others. Walternate is convinced that if the machine is turned off to end Peter, he is finished as well yet he is concerned of Walter’s wellbeing.

And this could be nailed down to the fact that the format the writers used to present this episode got fans thinking and permuting from the word go. It was an episode that took place in the future where there was not bridging episodes to show how they got there. Besides this, it also dwelt on one in a number of possible outcomes and played itself out in a sort of suspended animation state.

So what happened in the episode could not be easily tied to what had happened previously simply because there was really nothing to refer to. But the first thing that this episode which was situated something in the future implied was that the kids of Olivia and Peter had no hand in the creation of the Observers. And they are now horrid looking creatures which is a big leap from the status of having no feelings.

The Observers were already acting like soldiers in a state of anarchy by 2015 as they dragged people from their homes and had them killed on the streets. Fast forward to over a century ahead they decide to poison the planet while going back in time to reclaim it as there own -whatever sense that makes.

Meanwhile, fans did not get to notice any female about in this future time. And that too is a mystery that is left in the air coupled with another reality that Etta seemed to have taken after Peter. The looks of Henrietta but mostly her name seems to make her a love child of the couple. Widmark got some kind of ability from the cortexiphan even though it was like the supernatural powers her mother got. She seemed to be able to hide her feeling from them without being spotted.

Etta had gone looking for other Fringe members and was excited when she found them. Her relationship with Nina is not yet clear but there was this expectation that Peter and Olivia should have been encased but Olivia as already dead, she was killed by William. One of them had to die but it was comforting to know that she had a child before her death.

Now this may have intended to look like a possible outcome of events, but it may have been the initial plan that was later altered. Altogether it was a thought provoking episode.

The Fringe team in both sides fight a common cause and developments are made regarding the Cortexiphan children.

He commented on his role by saying that is pretty much resembles his role on Lost, as it is filled with mystery, life and death. He is not the only guest star appearing on this episode of Fringe, as Georgina Haig, the Australian actress is also staring as a guest star.

He has stated that most of his scenes in Fringe involve him and John Noble who plays the role of Walter Bishop and Georgina. He continues by praising John Noble’s acting talent.

Despite the fact that Walter went to the other side, but the events was interesting and exciting to watch. It really lived up to everyone’s expectations, the one thing that we all wanted to happen but didn’t, is for the two Walters to have a face to face confrontation, sadly, that didn’t happen. But that doesn’t mean that they will not face each other eventually, as they will have to meet sooner or later.

The cases that were presented to us on this week’s episode were kind of irrelevant, not to the grand scheme of things and the series, but to the episode itself. We got to know more about the things that has been keeping us confused for some time now. For example, on this episode we got to know more about the final plan of David Robert Jones’ and his end game. His plan is to destroy and collapse the two worlds, although we know his intentions, but we have no clue about the reasons behind it, why would anyone want to collapse the two worlds, but seems Walter is giving us some hints.

We saw Jones paying a visit to Alt-Broyles’ home, although Alt-Broyles is not one of the shape shifters, but he was being held against his will by Jones in order to give his son some much needed experimental medication because his son was dying. We could easily relate between what Alt-Broyles did with what Walter did, as they both did what is needed, and they went very far in order to help their sons and to keep them alive. The “how far would you go?” question gets asked many time in Fringe. But this has to be the biggest one of them, is Alt-Broyles going to go that far to save his son, will he destroy and collapse both worlds by destroying the machine in order to save his son?

It is clear that Alt-Broyles was the center of the show, and that the episode really revolved around him, but this doesn’t mean that Walter and Fauxlivia didn’t have scenes together, as we saw an amazing scene between the two of them. So all in all, it was a strong episode, it answered some questions while it raised some more, will certainly make everyone eager to catch the upcoming episode.
