LOST: Details and Characters
Altverse in lost is visible by users but it is puzzling to figure out things that go on, though these mysteries are fun. In addition, as we know all characters, viewing them act differently is interesting in itself.
FRINGE: Relevance
Fringe is all about the two universes. Both sides know each other and main goal is to avoid them from colliding. Characters have visited both sides and Peter is from the other universe, most likely he could have been kidnapped by Walter after drowning of real Peter.

LOST: Crossover is missing
Lost series lacks of obvious crossover between its two universes. No character of one universe knows about each other’s existence and thus makes it a independent story line of two individual stories.
FRINGE: Mystery of Other Side
We see very little of the other side of Fringe. On 9/11 terrorists attacked white house and world trade center is still available. Nothing different is observable. No origin of separation gets noticed.
FOX sent its critics a fake newspaper from the parallel universe on Fringe seen briefly in an episode for publicity. John F. Kennedy’s ambassador of the United Nations, John Lennon reunites with Beatles and Star Trek is the highest grossing film at box office. These existed only for critics, however viewers watching at home watching at home does not have any idea about how much interesting is the other world.
WHICH ALTVERSE IS SUPERIOR?
The question differs from fan to fan. The sci-fi purist, truly interested in the concept of alternate universes, Fringe is the show to watch for you. However if you are a casual fan or you are interested in the stories and characters than sci-fi, then Lost is the show to watch.
I like sci-fi so I vote for Fringe. However, both shows need to improve. Fringe can show us more of its other universe and Lost can connect the universes a bit.
